"One of the best things that ever happened to me! The scholarship proves that my parents' decision to send me to study in Melbourne was the right one.

The scholarship eased part of my financial burden, and thus helped me to concentrate on my studies and community involvement. I am truly thankful for the sponsors who made this scholarship available: without it I might never get to be here and enjoy the great experience that is International House."

Bedroom

Individual student rooms offer a private area in which students can make their home within the House. Each individual study bedroom provides everything a student needs to make his or her time at the House productive, comfortable and enjoyable.

Student rooms are a comfortable and secure home away from home.

Each bedroom has an individual telephone with its own extension, voice mail and external and internal access.

Internet portals are available in each room with wireless internet connection accessible in common areas.

Students can watch free to air television through their computers for no cost

A typical study-bedroom contains a bed, desk, desk lamp, desk chair, easy chair, cupboard, heater and wardrobe space. Linen can be provided on request.

Returning students' room preference allocation is based upon their involvement in college life. Students earn room points by getting involved in activities such wash-up for events, participation in college sporting teams, and involvement in Café International or committees.

Each college activity has a point value attached and these are used in allocating the room which you would like to live in the following year.
